WFDF is thrilled to announce that Druskininkai, Lithuania, will host the second-ever World Wheelchair Ultimate Championship (WWUC) in September 2025, together with the Lithuanian Flying Disc Federation!
Building on the success of the first WWUC in Italy in 2023, where 4 teams competed and Team Italy – White took home the gold, the 2025 Championship in Druskininkai is expected to build on its foundation!
WFDF President Robert “Nob” Rauch shared his excitement, stating, "This Championship not only showcases the incredible talent of the players but also underscores WFDF’s commitment to inclusivity in Flying Disc sports. We look forward to celebrating the spirit of Wheelchair Ultimate with players and teams from around the world.”
The championships will be held at the Lithuanian Sport Centre, which offers wheelchair-friendly accommodations right on-site. This event is made possible with the generous support of the Lithuanian Paralympic Committee, the Sport and Education Ministry, and the City of Druskininkai.
Ričardas Zareckis, President of the Lithuanian National Federation, added, “It is an honor for us to welcome teams to Druskininkai for these landmark Championships. We are dedicated to creating an outstanding experience for the players and ensuring that the Championships reflect the spirit and competitiveness that Flying Disc sports’ embody. Together, we will make these Championships a resounding success!”
Before the competition begins, players undergo classification and have the chance to participate in various educational and social events.
